Good news

LET IT SNOW

At last... it's snowing! on February the 5th the ski season has begun :)

However being such a chicken-hearted  stops me from skiing today... the cold, the snow, the fog and the fear of hurting mself made me decide to stay at home in the morning... let's leave the ski for next weekend :) i am actually giving the snow more time to settle down and prepare the most amazing slopes for me hehehe...

in the meanwhile i decided to eat the amazing food that was made for me: lentils, duck and crepes :)

BARCELONA DEGUSTA

During the first days of December, there was the Barcelona Degusta fair at the Montjuic Forum. For 8 euros you could taste different dishes from all around Spain and all around the world. Worth seeing it!

En diciembre hubo Barcelona Degusta en la feria de Montjuic. Por 8 euros podías probar comida típica de España y platos de diferentes partes del mundo. Valió la pena.

BARCELONA FASHION NIGHT

It  was fun: bubbles, balloons and conffeti everywhere. Free food and drinks and general shopping impulse (I fell into temptation too). Barcelona should do this more often, I think.

Fue divertido: burbujas, globos y confeti por todas partes. Bebidas gratis y comida para degustar, más un impulso generalizado de comprar (yo también caí en la tentación). Barcelona tendría que hacer esto más a menudo... yo creo.

XAMPANYET-TAPAS

Here you are a really nice bar of catalan and very traditional tapas @ el born, do not pretend to find a place to sit if you arrive at dinner time, it is always full. Try el xampanyet, a really nice and unhealthy home made cava. Worth trying!

Es un bar de tapas catalanas típico, rico rico y no caro. Recomiendo llegar pronto (si hay voluntad de sentarse) y probar el xampanyet, cava malo pero que entra muy bien. En el born:

CAL PEP - RESTAURANT

ME: "good evening", WAITER: "good evening", ME: "what's on the menu for today, what can we eat?", WAITER: "what do you want?". That is Cal Pep, @ plaça de les olles 8, El Born. One of the best tapas restaurant in Barcelona. It is not a "all you can eat" but a "all you want to eat". I  strongly recomend F&F (fish and foie), all dishes related to those ingredients.

YO: "Buenas noches", CAMARERO: "buenas tardes", YO: "qué hay en el menú, qué se puede comer hoy?", CAMARERO: "¿qué quieres?". Así es Cal Pep, en plaça de les olles 8, El Born. Genial para tapas y platillos. No es un "come todo lo que puedas", pero sí un "come todo lo que quieras". Recomiendo los platos con foie o pescado.
